Markham Stouffville Hospital was built on philanthropy – starting with the generosity of Arthur Latcham who donated the land in 1967 for our original hospital that would later be built in 1990. Fast-forward to 2014, and thanks to the generosity of our community, Markham Stouffville Hospital has more than doubled in size.
While the Expansion Campaign achieved incredible fundraising success – raising $56 million for the expansion and renovation project – the new Markham Stouffville Hospital must rely on fundraising dollars more than ever before. Government can’t fund all of our hospital’s needs, which is why your support is so vital.
As the surrounding communities continue to grow, the number of patients receiving care and treatment at MSH continues to rise. And while state-of-the-art equipment and modern beds are essential to delivering the best patient care, upgrades to technology and new, innovative efficiencies are just as vital. It is community support that will drive this innovation and enable growth. The need is real. The need is now!
We’re healthier together. We’re stronger together. We’re better together.
