We have to be prepared for any crisis.
That’s one thing I’ve learned working as a doctor in a busy community hospital. Whether it’s a multiple vehicle crash on Hwy 7 that brings several people to our Emergency Department at once, or a global pandemic that’s infected millions around the world, we have to be ready for anything.
That’s why I’m so very grateful for supporters like you. Your loyal support ensures we have the equipment we need to care for your family, friends and neighbours. It helps us address the on-going needs of our growing population, even while we deal with an unprecedented health crisis like COVID-19.
Our incredible community has truly been there for us in our time of greatest need. Thanks to you, we purchased 20 ventilators to literally breathe for our sickest patients in the Intensive Care Unit – including those diagnosed with COVID-19.
Together, with your generosity, we even opened our new Fracture Clinic this year despite the pandemic. The new clinic is nearly double the size of the previous clinic with larger, more private spaces for patient care and features two onsite x-ray rooms.
As a physician, it means a lot to me to be able to count on your generosity in the best and worst of times. Your donations enable me and my colleagues to do our jobs to the best of our ability. They help ensure we have everything we need when a sick patient comes through our hospital doors.
I hope you’ll continue to be generous today. With you by our side, we can always be prepared for any crisis with the best equipment and latest technology. We can continue to be ready for anything as we work to save and improve lives.
